Community Outreach
Riley Hospital’s Community Education and Child Advocacy Department leads the hospital’s statewide, regional, and national outreach to children and families. The Department advocates for children through education programs and resources, trainings, partnerships, and public policy that support Safe Children, Healthy Children, and Strong Families. A national champion for injury prevention education for all children, the hospital recently opened the Safety Store, the nation’s first to provide injury prevention education to families as a requirement before they are given child safety products. The Safety Store offers child safety products for all children, including children with disabilities.
